I hear your passion sister. Nothing wrong with a good vent, but now after the vent where do we go. How do we attack this racist media, how do we expose the institutionalized racism that exists in America. I believe we at first start with these types of dialogues to make sure we are of like mind. However then we must develop a plan of action.
The truth is this country will never be perfect. We do have to admit that at this point we are alotted many freedoms that would not exist in other countries. But we don’t use the rights that we have been given. We end up stuck in this consumer based mindset where the only thing we argue about is the prices of items that we don’t need anyway. When we begin to rally behind each other, walk into our communities and teach our people how to do more than survive but live prosperously. I’m talking about the education of the negro rather than the mis-education so that we can grow as a community. when we stand up and realize our power we can be a larger forced to reckon with.
Obama is right about one thing. You see people are hopping on this bandwagon but they are not hearing the subliminal messages that he is pushing. We can elect Obama and if we don’t put together an action plan you know what we will get, absolutely nothing. A black president who we will complain did not perform. Will it be that he didn’t perform or that we didn’t rise to his challenge. Peace!
